Highwood Cottage is ready and waiting for you, tucked away in an exclusive neighborhood of timeless Chatham homes on what many consider the town's prettiest street. (The private beach is shared with 3 other families, but most of the time it is all yours.) This family/owner managed property has 3 comfortable Bedrooms that sleep 6-7 along with 2 Full Baths and one 1/2 Bath plus an Outdoor Shower. Linens and T,owels are included, all sanitized. The property is very family and pet friendly, having a long front lawn that is ideal for outdoor fun and games with croquet, badminton and volley ball included, all within easy walking distance to its private beach. Your beach necessities are included, too! A screened porch that catches cool southerly breezes is ideal for summer novel reading or evening cocktails and dinner. A patio with dining table and Weber grill off the family room makes eating dinners outside easy. Downtown is less than 2 miles away, a quick bike ride. This is a one week minimum rental in high season of late June - August. It has a 3-night minimum off-season. All modern amenities are included and assistance with anything you may need is nearby.
INTERIOR
The cottage's interior is comfortably designed for get-togethers or get-aways. 1 queen en suite bedroom, 2 double twin bedrooms, one with an additional pullout (sleeps 3 total), fully equipped kitchen/family room, dining room that seats 10 - 12 comfortably, living room, screened porch, outdoor shower. Highwood Cottage will accommodate you and 5-6 other friends or family members for a memorable time.

Your private beach is a short walk away offering a sweet spot without the crowd to read under the umbrella as boats glide by, or take advantage of the wonderful public beaches around town and surrounding towns including world-famous Nauset and Wellfleet and Truro beaches. Chairs, umbrellas, coolers, towels and toys for your use are included.

Nearby Restaurants
Many top eateries are in town. Take a morning walk to a breakfast/coffee shop or choose from a variety of spots along Main Street offering pizza to haute cuisine. The fine local resort hotels offer public dining also!

Surfing, paddleboarding, water sports of all kinds are popular along the outer Cape beaches where you will find many other enthusiasts to hang ten alongside. For your convenience, there are several equipment, board and kayak rental businesses close by.

Book a charter boat for an afternoon of great fishing with a local captain and eat your catch for dinner.

Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard
Daily ferry service to both islands is available by reservation. A day-trip fast ferry from Harwich to Nantucket is very convenient, and the Vineyard ferries leave several times a day from Hyannis.

Boating
Bring it! There are several launch areas about town for your boat including one at the private beach (for smaller boats). Others include Ryder's Cove and the Cow Yard nearby. You are welcome to park your boat in the large driveway at the cottage. Chartering your own boat is possible with planning ahead. There are several on-Cape services who do offer day and week-long chartering of both sail and power boats.

There is usually a list available from some of the resorts of local, dependable sitters. We also have stair gates and a high chair for your convenience if needed.
All linens are included for your stay. Fluffy towels, bed linens, beach towels, etc., along with laundry detergents, paper goods, just bring your food and drink.

Highwood Cottage is friendly to well-behaved and groomed dogs and does not charge an extra fee. The property is set well off the street and surrounded by privacy hedges (though not entirely fenced).
